Discover Kalkan's deep-blue coves, secluded beaches and charming marina on a full-day boat tour. Route, stops and practical tips inside.
Kalkan, the elegant harbour town on Turkey's Lycian coast, is famous for its whitewashed houses and cobbled streets — but just as much for the deep-blue coves that surround it. Most of these coves can't be reached by road; the only way to experience their calm waters and dramatic scenery is by boat. That's exactly what a full-day boat tour delivers.
Boats departing from Kalkan harbour quickly leave the town behind and reach untouched coves within minutes. Visibility often reaches 15-20 metres, making the water perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Along the route, the scenery keeps changing — steep cliffs, pine forests and tiny fishing coves give the day its own rhythm.
Most full-day boat tours include lunch, unlimited tea/coffee and fresh fruit. Sun decks, shaded areas and a ladder for swimming are standard comforts on board, and life jackets and snorkelling gear are usually provided.
Tip: Tours that depart early in the morning are usually quieter and offer better light for photos.
